Sideview is a 2'x2' recessed troffer whose defining feature is the Lumenwerx Compression Planar Optic (CPO): an edge-lighted luminous plane held into a soft curve with a precise radius, combined with a finely textured extractive microstructure and a contoured reflector so that light side-coupled from outboard LED arrays is redirected into a soft-shoulder distribution with reduced intensity at nadir. The result is an uncommonly even, visually comfortable luminous surface that minimizes lighting power density and, despite the shallow housing, appears to disappear deep into the ceiling. Because the LED flux couples in from the sides directly onto the optical panel, the fixture keeps the onboard driver and electrical options within a shallow body under 2 3/4" of recess depth. Three output packages deliver 2000, 3000, and 4000 nominal lumens (23/36/49 W at 4000K, up to 87 lm/W); the custom linear array of mid-flux LEDs is aluminum-mounted for thermal performance, offered in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K at a minimum 80 CRI with 90 CRI (min. R9 50) and 95 CRI (min. R9 75) options, held to within 3 SDCM. LM-80 testing shows L80 lumen maintenance greater than 60,000 hours. The factory-set adjustable-output driver runs on universal 120–277V input (347V also available), dimmable 100–1% via 0–10V standard, with Lutron Hi-lume 1% Eco and DALI options, plus optional emergency battery pack and generator transfer device. Sideview recesses into exposed or concealed T-bar and tegular grid ceilings (9/16" and 15/16") or screw-slot t-bar, with a separate drywall mounting kit. Finished in 95% reflective matte white (custom RAL available), it is ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations, IC rated for direct contact with insulation, City of Chicago (CCEA) plenum approved, and backed by a five-year limited warranty.
