Akeso is Focal Point's integrated LED healthcare luminaire for overbed illumination, offered in two gasketed, impact-modified acrylic lens styles that install as tandem overbed fixtures or single units in grid and drywall ceilings. Peak (FMA8L) uses a symmetrical peaked lens for ambient-only illumination and delivers 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, or 4500 lumens per fixture at 15-42 tested system watts (up to 135 LPW at 80+ CRI). Pitch (FMA8LE) uses a pitched, asymmetrical lens combining an ambient function with a dedicated exam function focused on the center of the bed; sold in pairs, a Pitch pair delivers 2800, 4300, or 5700 lumens ambient-only and 10300 to 13000 total lumens with the exam function engaged (an added focusing optic is used on the exam LEDs at the 11000/12000/13000-lumen outputs). Both are 8" wide by 4' long for straightforward installation, use a master-satellite configuration with quick electrical connection, and provide below-ceiling access to LED boards and drivers. The proprietary linear LED module is available at 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K in both 80+ and 90+ CRI, held to a 3-step SDCM; 3500K and 4000K at CRI>90 achieve a cyanosis observation index (COI) of 3.3 or less.
