A radial extruded acrylic diffuser with internal ribs provides brightness control, even illumination, and an easy wipe-down surface for cleaning, while the 20-gauge steel housing carries an antimicrobial polyester powder-coat finish (matte satin white) over a multi-stage pre-treatment. The proprietary linear LED module delivers six standard ambient outputs — 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, and 4500 delivered lumens — drawing a tested 16-44 system watts (16-38W at 80 CRI, 19-44W at 90 CRI) for 102-126 LPW, held to less than 3 SDCM. It is offered in three configurations: Ambient only (FMA8L), Ambient + Exam (FMA8LE), and Ambient + Exam + Reading Light (FMA8LR); the companion exam pairs deliver a total 10,300-13,000 delivered lumens in the exam function with an asymmetric distribution for shadow-free patient-bed illumination, and the reading-light color temperature can be specified independently.
