MRI Flexible Ambient is Axis Lighting's MRI-safe recessed ambient troffer, part of the BalancedCare collection engineered for magnetic-resonance imaging suites. Of non-ferrous all-aluminum construction and independently tested and certified to MIL-STD-461-G for conducted and radiated emissions, it is driven at 24V constant voltage from a separately ordered remote power supply via MOLEX quick-connect. A modular optical chamber with room-side access delivers soft, even illumination in two distributions at 3500K — general diffuse at 4000 lm (43 W, ~93 lm/W) and wide at 4400 lm (43 W, ~102 lm/W) — at 90 CRI across 3000/3500/4000/5000K, with an optional non-illuminated blank center strip. The low-profile housing is only 4 inches deep and recesses into 15/16-inch or 1½-inch T-bar; the 2×2 measures 23 1/8" flange-to-flange, and a 1×1 size is also available. Finished in highly reflective antimicrobial white powder coat (custom available). NSF approved, cULus listed, IC-rated, and rated L85 at 50,000 hours with a limited 5-year warranty.
