About this product
Cura is Lumenwerx's wall-mounted overbed light for healthcare patient rooms, integrating four independent lighting functions in a single bedhead fixture: exam (direct/indirect), ambient (indirect), reading (direct), and night light (indirect). Each function can meet the illuminance recommendations of ANSI/IES RP29-16. Delivered output is configured per function in lm/ft — exam from EX1 high output at 2400 lm/ft down through 2100, 1700 (full spectrum) and 1350 lm/ft; ambient at 1050 or 750 lm/ft; and reading at 700 or 400 lm/ft — so a 4 ft fixture in its high-output build delivers roughly 9600 lm exam (101 W, 95 lm/W), 4200 lm ambient (50 W, 84 lm/W), and 2800 lm reading (31 W, 90 lm/W). The bottom compartment (exam and reading) uses a High-Efficiency Lambertian Optic (HLO); the upper compartment (ambient and night light) is edge-lit through a prismatic micro-optic (PMO) light guide. Standard mid-flux LEDs are 80+ CRI, with 90 CRI and 95 CRI (full-spectrum) options; optional BIOS SkyBlue technology shifts peak intensity into the sky-blue 490 nm region for circadian support with an enhanced deep-red spectrum near 660 nm to aid visual diagnosis and cyanosis detection. The amber night light targets 590 nm or 620 nm phosphor-converted wavelengths. Reading and ambient functions ship with 0-10V 100-1% constant-current dimming; exam and night light use non-dim drivers; DALI, Lutron Hi-lume 1% Eco, and eldoLED 1% ECOdrive / 0.1% SOLOdrive options are available, along with low-voltage patient-pillow control (LVC), 2- and 4-pole pull switches, and PoE compatibility. Offered in 3 ft and 4 ft lengths with a die-cast aluminum wall bracket, static-white LEDs tested to IES LM-80-08 with L80 lumen maintenance beyond 60,000 hours. ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations, backed by a five-year limited warranty.
