Aera is Lumenwerx's compact COB downlight and cylinder platform, built around XPoint Refraction Technology optics that converge and disperse micro optical paths from the chip-on-board for crisp, exacting beam control. The recessed downlight is offered in 2", 3", and 4" round and square apertures (plus a multi-aperture housing) in bevel or pinhole trims, flanged or trimless (drywall mudplate / millwork adapter), for new construction (open-frame Non-IC, Type-IC, Chicago Plenum CCEA, airtight) or remodel, with adjustable standard, flush-mount, adjustable commercial, and hat-channel bar hangers. Matching Aera Cylinders extend the family to 2"/3"/4"/5"/6" apertures (plus a 4" Seal) as pendant, surface, and wall luminaires with direct and direct/indirect (uplight) distributions, asymmetric and wall-wash variants, on aircraft-cable or rigid/swivel stem suspensions. A seven-step beam menu (10°, 15°, 25°, 35°, 50°, 80°, 90°, plus 70° on the 6" and an 80° uplight on cylinders) holds UGR below 10 in the 10°–50° beams. Delivered output runs from 1132 lm (3", 10 W) to 10551 lm (6", 88 W), with efficacy published up to 140 lm/W. The compact COB light source comes in 2200/2400/2700/3000/3500/4000/5000K (the 6" starts at 2400K) with a choice of 80+, 90+, or 95+ CRI, elevated R9 on 90+ and above, and 2 SDCM color consistency; Chromawerx SOLA dim-to-warm and DUO tunable-white options are available. LEDs are LM-80 tested to L80 > 60,000 hours. Dimming reaches 1% (0.1% optional) via 0–10V, ELV, TRIAC, Lutron Hi-lume EcoSystem and Premier, DALI, DALI-2, eldoLED ECOdrive/SOLOdrive, and DMX, with PoE compatibility and optional emergency battery. ETL listed to UL 1598 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 for indoor dry/damp locations (IP44 with the wet-location option), Chicago Plenum and IC rated where specified, Title 24 JA8 compliant, LBC Red List Declare approved, and backed by a five-year limited warranty.
