Pilot Exterior (PEX) is Insight Lighting's low-profile exterior cove and grazing luminaire, built on a 2.50" × 1.75" extruded aluminum housing in 12" and 48" lengths for wall, ceiling, or ground surface mounting (extended-arm and stake accessories available). Three output levels — 4.0, 7.0, and 10.0 W/ft — drive a broad optic set spanning 10°×10° through 100°×100° symmetric spreads plus asymmetric graze and wash distributions with selectable up/down light direction and power-feed side. For a 48" fixture at 4000K, delivered output ranges from 962 to 3,936 lumens depending on optic and output level, with up to 48,038 peak candela. The white-light engine offers 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K plus a 3000K-2200K dim-to-warm mode and static red/green/blue/amber colors, at 82 CRI (90+ CRI optional). A tempered-glass lens over the integrated line-voltage (120V or 277V) power supply is flicker-free dimmable to 1% via 0-10V (sink), DMX, or DALI, and continuous runs reach up to 300 feet. Finished in metallic gray (custom colors available), PEX is ETL and cETL listed for wet locations, rated IP66/IP67/IP68 and 3G vibration (ANSI C136.31), suitable for natatorium environments, and carries a 5-year limited warranty with 75,000-hour lumen maintenance.
